Motor Action had the better of the chances in a dull game, but Asec went on to win the shootout 4-2 after misses from Temba Ndhlovu and Masimba Mambare. "The situation in Ivory Coast is very difficult, so we are very happy with the victory for the supporters in the country," said Asec's French coach Sebastian Desabre. The competition will now take place from 17 April - 1 May 2011; against the previous date of later this month (March 18 to April 1). South Africa will replace Libya in Group A, which will include Mali, Lesotho and Egypt, whilst Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria and Gambia make up Group B. Tournament venues as well as fixtures will be published at a later stage.
